never have i experience a feeling of joy and the urge to just jump and shout when watching a soccer game. maybe only once and that was when i watched the Tiger Cup final last year. the soccer game i watched yesterday was somewhat the same. it was not an international game or was it a final playoff. just a school verses school soccer match. kranji secondary playing againts chua chu kang secondary and that explains why i was there watching since it's my eisley's school soccer team. it was really a superb game that i've watched so far. although the final scoreline was kindda huge, 4-4 , it doesn't mean that both teams suck. both teams really played their freakin heart out.

okay, both teams were fighting for the second position in the group table so that they could advance to the next round which is the quater finals. kranji needed at least a draw to advance while chua chu kang needed a win. a draw would mean that they are out. so this was the die-die-must-win kindda match. both teams started out well and the scoreline at half-time was 1-1. second-half was a fuckingly good game. chua chu kang scored three damn goals and the scoreline was like kranji 1 and chua chu kang 4. time was running out for kranji and the chua chu kang supporters were like jumping and having that confirmation that they would win. i could see the different kindda faces on the kranji coach and players. those kind of face when you just hope that some miracle would happen or it would be the end for you. i too was feeling kindda nervous and excited at the same time. oh by the way, i was supporting kranji.

kranji players on the field were giving that affirmation that the game was not over yet although they were down by three goals. in the last fifteen or twenty minutes, kranji made an amazingly good comeback. they scored a freaking three more goals in that short period of time. and when they finally scored the fourth goal, which confirmed their place in the next round, the whole kranji supporters with the players and teachers roared. my butt just leaped off the freaking grass like it was bitten by an earthworm jim. damn was i overjoyed. the scene after they scored the last goal just made me smile from ear to ear. players hugged and kissed. and i felt as if gay was in every guy all the time. chua chu kang players, teachers and supporters just went to a silent state. heck, the game was as good as over since the last goal scored was about three minutes to full-time. (:

although im not and never was a kranjian, i really felt the glory of winning that game. it just felt good. it just depends on how the individual watches the game. if you're really into the game, you would be able to feel the excitement and all. my utmost congratulations to the b-boys soccer team from kranji secondary school. a splendid performance. well done. the game is never over till the referee blows the final whistle.
